This collaborative study, published by Countering Backlash partners ADSOCK (formerly MEGEN) and IDS, examines the ways in which collective action and the involvement of men may influence the prospects of effectively changing community perceptions and values regarding sexual and gender-based violence. Moreover, the report asses how men in collective action may strengthen the overall response to the problem in Kenya.  Amongst other issues, the publication explores men’s resistance, as well as institutional resistance to men’s engagement in preventing sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV).
