This toolkit aims to equip politically active women with the required tools and skills to successfully navigate election cycles as candidates, voters, political campaigners and party participants.

An essential ingredient in women’s navigation of politics is their mutual sharing of experiences to learn from each other, and from successful male allyship stories that they have encountered in their political circles, and that have supported their meaningful political participation. This toolkit aims to be a first step in this collaborative process. This toolkit is prepared by the Arab Institute for Women (AiW) at the Lebanese American University (LAU) under the Countering Backlash: Reclaiming Gender Justice programme, supported by the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida), and in partnership with the Institute of Development Studies (IDS).
